Interim Finance Manager
A well-established membership organisation is seeking an Interim Finance Manager to support the Head of Finance during a key transition period. Following a recent system implementation, they require a hands-on finance professional to take ownership of month-end processes, management accounts, and reconciliations, while also working to improve financial systems and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Month-End & Reporting - Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely preparation of management accounts and accurate financial reporting.
* Reconciliations & Financial Controls - Manage bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring financial integrity and compliance.
* VAT & Compliance - Review and correct VAT coding errors, ensuring compliance and accurate submissions.
* Process & Systems Improvement - Support the optimisation of Sage 200, addressing configuration issues, refining reporting outputs, and embedding improved financial controls.
* Business Partnering - Work closely with the Head of Finance, acting as a key finance contact, and provide support to the Assistant Management Accountant.
* Backlog Support - Assist in bringing financial records up to date, ensuring accuracy and clarity in reporting.
Key Details
* Location: Central London
* Office Requirement: 1-2 days per month (travel costs covered).
* Systems: Sage 200.
* Day Rate: £350-£390 per day (Outside IR35).
This role is ideal for an experienced Finance Manager or Senior Accountant with a strong technical skill set and hands-on experience in systems, reconciliations, and reporting.
