Payroll Manager - Reading (hybrid) - £55,000


We are supporting one of our fast growing Financial Services clients based in Reading with the important hire for a Payroll Manager.

Location: Reading - hybrid working

Salary: £50k-55k

Industry: Financial Services

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and administer the organization's monthly payroll operations.
  • Create precise payment schedules for payroll bureaus to determine net employee payments.
  • Communicate monthly payment variations to the Group Finance Director.
  • Efficiently manage company benefits programs and coordinate with providers.
  • Keep comprehensive records of employee payroll and tax information.
  • Provide payroll reports to the Finance department.
  • Responsible for maintaining the payroll accounts and managing the company's benefits and pensions payments.
  • Maintain and enhance payroll systems.
  • Collaborate with HR on salary-related changes for new hires, departures, and contract modifications.
  • Handle year-end payroll tasks, including issuing P60s and P11Ds.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all flexible remuneration agreements for Advisers and other contracts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Implement strong controls over payroll procedures.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications / education in relation to the position.
  • Experience working in a similar role with relevant experience.
  • Experience managing the payroll year end processes, including P60s and P11Ds.
  • Proficient experience working with payroll systems.
  • Solid understanding of PAYE and payroll compliance.
  • Experience maintaining the payroll accounts and managing the company's benefits and pensions payments.
