12 month FTC - Project Support Officer (Accounts Assistant)

An Accounts Assistant is needed to support a software implementation project at a charity based in Central London. The role is hybrid - 3 days per week in the office.

The right candidate for this role will have a good understanding of transactional finance and possess strong interpersonal skills to build relationships quickly with stakeholders, both in finance and externally.

As a Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for:

* Organising and co-ordinating all meetings for the project

* Working with relevant teams to setup external service providers, consultants and all staff on the system

* Financial management support; processing of all supplier invoices for payment, maintaining accruals for all incurred costs not yet processed to programme cost centres and supporting Programme Manager with quarterly forecast and budget exercises

* Scheduling of programme governance meetings with Senior and Executive Leadership Team member representation, taking minutes of meetings and supporting programme manager with the maintenance of key programme monitoring documents 

The ideal candidate for the Project Support Officer will:

  • Have a few years experience in transactional finance
  • Take a pro-active approach to organisation and resolving any queries
  • Be someone who has a general understanding of the technology implementation lifecycle
  • Be someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships quickly
  • Experience working in a role which required interaction with multiple external and internal teams
  • Experience of senior leadership diary management (ideal)

You must be on a notice of a week or less to be considered for this role!
