A Management Accountant is needed for an intial 6 month contract for a global life sciences company based in Dartford.

The role is hybrid - 2 to 3 days per week in the office.

The role reports into the Head of Accounting.

Responsibilties of the Management Accountant include:

  1. Assist the Head of Accounting and the team with the monthly preparation of the management accounts for 3 entites
  2. Preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations
  3. Submit final FCCS monthly results for the 3 entities
  4. Liaise closely with local and Corporate finance for the weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for 3 entities
  5. Preparation of VAT returns in UK and liaise with VAT consultants in Ireland Norway and Sweden; intrastat submission in Sweden
  6. Preparation of Financial statements as per UK GAP and Swedish GAP for statutory audits
  7. Managing IFRS16 accounting for various leases
  8. Assist the Head of Accountant in ensuring compliance for the 3 entities
  9. Corporate tax submission for UK Norway and Sweden with support of consultants
  10. Effectively assist in preparation of statutory accounts and assist in the management of relationships with bankers, and managing internal and external auditors.

The ideal Management Accountant will be:

  1. Qualified AAT or CAT and studying towards a professional qualification from a recognised accountancy body (e.g. CIMA, ACCA) - or QBE
  2. 5 years' experience in a management accounting roles.
  3. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of SAP are essential
  4. Proactive and excellent communication skills
  5. Attention to detail with ability to work on tight deadlines
