Start your job searchA superb opportunity for a qualified accountant with experience in Financial Planning and Analysis looking to challenge their capabilities in an interesting and diverse role. The candidate will be a key member of a finance team supporting the budgeting and forecasting process and responsible for analysing revenue, expenditure and funding.
The role will require the individual to provide detailed financial reporting and management information, develop new reports and analysis in collaboration with the wider team. This role is in a fast-changing evolving environment with several changes taking place.
The Successful candidate will:
- Support the planning and preparation of the annual budget process including the delivery of accurate and timely data to senior management and other stakeholders;
- Develop, manage and report high-quality financial management reports, financial analysis and key performance indicators;
- Responsible for the completion of the monthly forecast process the analysis, interpretation and explanation of variances to budget on a monthly basis;
- Support timely and accurate completion of annual budgets and 5-year financial plans;
- Support the development and upkeep of the 5 year and annual models;
- Evaluate financial KPI's
Education and Experience
The candidate shall have:
- A qualified accountant (with at least 3 years in FP&A or a similar role);
- Experience of Power BI or other Business Intelligence systems;
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint in particular)
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
- The ability to be a self-starter, flexible and comfortable working on their own initiative.
Desirable Attributes:
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Prior experience working in a high-volume transaction environment;
- Project management skills and experience; and
- Knowledge of practices/procedures of the public sector and particularly public sector accounting procedures.
