We are recruiting for a Credit Risk/Underwriter Manager in London on behalf of an equipment finance arm of a large European corporate banking group, with worldwide jurisdiction.



The position itself will give the successful candidate the opportunity to be paid a competitive salary with the entitlement to an exceptional pension scheme and performance related bonuses while receiving a generous holiday allowance and other exceptional range of benefits.



The successful candidate must have 3+ years of credit risk or credit underwriting experience as well as experience across asset or equipment finance!



Hybrid working is on offer (2days in the office per week).



Examples of responsibilities to expect:


  • Responsible for the expert evaluation and underwriting of all business channels
  • Analyse credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit in all business channels from sales-aid leasing/flow business
  • Underwriting of small ticket deals
  • Interpret and evaluate internal and external credit reference to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
  • Formulate risk reports for extending credit to all flow business channel transactions.
  • Generate and evaluate financial ratios, using internal credit tools, to evaluate consumers' financial status


Candidate Requirements:


  • 3+ years of credit risk/underwriting experience within financial services (preferably within banking).
  • Asset or Equipment Finance experience is crucial!
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Commercial minded & business savvy!
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence management and to lead and work collaboratively across teams
