A well-established retail chain based in Blackburn are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their ever-growing finance team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a busy and sociable finance team.

You will be required to provide accounting support within the wider finance team, ensuring key financial close and day to day activities are completed in a timely manner.

Main responsibilities include:

• Presentation of monthly numbers to Senior Management
• Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Dealing with large volumes of data and demonstrating the ability to present it in a clear manner.
• Provide Senior Management with concise and clear updates and ensure all issues are escalated in a timely manner.
• Assist in preparation and review of site P&Ls ensuring accuracy in management reporting.
• Preparing accruels, prepayments and journal postings
• Ad-hoc duties as required by the business.

The ideal candidate:

• SAP Experience (Desirable)
• Excellent Excel skills
• Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• 2+ Years working in a finance function.
