Marks Sattin are currently working with a York based technology provider, who are looking to hire an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis!

Reporting to the Finance Manager the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for creating invoices and credit memos for the technology division. The role will also support the Finance Manager in completion of month end and purchase ledger.

For this role, they will pay up to £29,000 and can also offer study support to candidates should they wish to study! They also work on a hybrid working model, with 2 days working from home per week!

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Reconciliation of all sales ledger and any cash suspense accounts.
  • Working with credit control to resolve customer queries.
  • Processing of invoices in a timely manner onto the Accounts Payable ledger ensuring proper allocation to the correct accounts and cost centres.
  • Reconciliation of vendor statements resolving any discrepancies or highlighting any issues to the Finance Manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of month end financial statements, in an accurate and timely manner, including P&L, Balance Sheets and Cashflow statements. Support the reconciliation of accounts, intercompany transactions and preparation and posting of journal entries.
  • Assist in the monitoring and management of accruals and prepayments. Ensuring accuracy for month end reporting. Working closely with the finance manager and other departments to validate accruals, revenue recognition and any other financial transactions.
