VAT Manager - Leeds/ Hybrid - £70,000 DOE with Benefits

Marks Sattin, collaborating with an Industry market leader expanding their Tax Team due to sustainable growth within the business.

The Role:

The main responsibility will be to manage VAT compliance across the UK and Ireland. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for VAT-related queries and oversee various VAT projects. While the role may involve other tax-related tasks, the primary focus will be on VAT compliance and advisory services.

Day to Day:

  • Oversee VAT compliance across UK and Irish legal entities
  • Provide VAT support to the business
  • Advise the business on indirect tax implications for UK and Ireland projects.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in tax legislation affecting the business.
  • Review non-VAT tax filings prepared by the Tax Assistant and Tax Accountant.
  • Assist the Tax Director with projects such as M&A and restructuring transactions.
  • Train and support the more junior members of the team
  • Liaise with external tax advisors when necessary.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • ACA, ACCA or CTA etc
  • Experience of UK VAT and ideally Irish VAT
  • Highly motivated and confident to work well as part of a talented team.

  • Possess a strong desire to achieve operational excellence and drive continuous improvement.
  • Have a good level of IT skills and literacy, especially Excel
