Marks Sattin Executive Search is working with a well-established PE backed B2B Consultancy business, looking for a UK Head of Finance (autonomous no 1), to become a key strategic partner to stakeholders, who will drive strategic initiatives and grow business value.

This role places a strong emphasis on the commercial aspect, requiring the Head of Finance to exhibit incisive commercial acumen and strong leadership skills. Managing day-to-day financial aspects for the UK, including key KPIs and performance against budget, you'll foster a culture of commercial awareness, adding value beyond the finance sphere in non-finance meetings. and plan with input from key stakeholders in the business; maintain rolling forecasts, through revenue pipeline and ability to appraise its contents

Reporting to the senior management team, this is a key position within the business involving managing an outsourced finance function, whilst liaising closely with external advisers to produce monthly and statutory reporting.

This role is suitable for a candidate looking to break into an autonomous number 1 role, in a private equity-backed business.

They operate on a flexible hybrid working week, with 2 days a week expected in the office.

The ideal candidate:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)
  • Experience within a Professional Services, Consultancy, B2B and or related sectors, preferably but not essentially in an International business
  • Have managed the annual budgeting process and obtained appropriate input from key stakeholders in the business
  • Experienced in managing a small finance team
  • Outstanding leadership, communication and presentational skills
