Marks Sattin have been engaged by a leading retail brand to recruit their new Supply and Demand Manager on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team within the supply chain function, whilst also directly supporting the Operations Director with upcoming projects, Inventory control, and process improvements.

The Supply and Demand Manager role

This role will be well suited to candidates with a demonstrable track record in Inventory management, a sound understanding of demand planning and a high proficiency in ERP/MRP's systems. Our client is looking for a candidate that enjoys the detail in the data, but is also keen to work with stakeholders throughout the business to provide solutions and improvements.

This role is site based with some flexibility to work from home after the successful completion of probation.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Development and leadership of a small team
  • Maintain efficient and correct stock levels across multiple sites in line with 'just in time' targets
  • Work with the wider teams to ensure systems remain effective at servicing UK customers
  • Lead on process/business improvement projects to ensure that key measures are met
  • Take a lead role in the group wide S&OP process to generate forecasts and supply plans
  • Work closely with the commercial teams to understand constraints/opportunities

About your experience

  • Demonstrable track record in Inventory control
  • A sound understanding of S&OP, demand planning and international logistics
  • High proficiency in Microsoft suite, MRP/ERP, WMS
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to influence and negotiate
  • Track record of leading teams
  • Proactive approach and high level of attention to detail
