VAT Analyst - EU Retail

My client, a global online retailer is looking for an EU VAT Analyst to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. The successful candidate must be able to prepare and file VAT returns in a number of jurisdictions in the EMEA region.

This will involve extracting data from multiple systems, analysing it and then preparing it for review. This will include VAT returns but also EC sales and intrastat listings. You will be dealing with Latin America so Spanish is very benifical.

• Work with external advisers to understand the requirements for VAT registrations.
• VAT return preparation and filing
• Respond to Tax queries from Tax office
• Reconciliation of the VAT account
• Providing VAT support internally
• Complete documents required as well as work with internal stakeholders to source required documentation.

Required skills:

• 2+ years Accounting or VAT Compliance experience including filing VAT returns
• Hands on experience in filing VAT returns
• Experience of VAT compliance for electronically supplied in the EMEA
• Ideally with experience of APAC & Latin VAT compliance
• Experience of VAT registrations.
