Marks Sattin currently have a very exciting opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Team Leader for a business in East Leeds!
The primary responsibility of this role will be to assist the Purchase Ledger Manager with day-to-day management of the Purchase Ledger team and deal with complex queries with a small amount of processing.
If you are an experienced PL Clerk and would like to lead a small team, deal with complex queries and likes to get involve with change this role would be well suited to you. It would be ideal if you already had Supervisory experience!
In return, my client will pay a £30,000 salary along with a brilliant bonus scheme! Please note this role is office based.
Responsibilities include:
- Day to day delegation of work to the purchase ledger team.
- Assist team members in solving problems by answering specific questions / seeking clarification from internal or external sources and providing assistance and coaching to the team.
- Act as the escalation point for team members and internal escalations. Dealing with supplier issues and complex queries while escalating to Purchase Ledger Manager where required.
- Perform the duties of an Accounts Payable Clerk for key suppliers
- Prepare weekly BACS payment runs and ad hoc daily faster payments to ensure suppliers are paid as directed by the Purchase Ledger Manager or Financial Controller
- Manage the Supplier maintenance process including new suppliers and amendments
- Support in training new team members in Company's processes and controls
- Manage the PO/Invoice dispute process and ensure internal KPIs are met
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder may be asked to perform other duties assigned by the management from time to time.
