Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a reputable FMCG organisation with a well known brand to recruit a Management Accountant within their Derby manufacturing site.

The position is a people facing role with lots of stakeholder engagement and will therefore require the Management Accountant to be based on-site. Applicants must be within a commutable distance to Derby.

My client are going through a time of growth and positive change, so there will be a great opportunity for the Management Accountant to support in a variety of areas, including the provision of business partnering to the Site Manager's to ensure timely and accurate analysis surrounding the financial performance of the site against targets.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate weekly reporting through Finance and Operational reporting mechanisms.
  • Stock analysis
  • Variance analysis
  • Business partnering with Site Manager and Site Director to ensure sound financial performance across the site
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to support reporting and analysis.
  • Proactively reviewing and improving processes.
  • Providing analysis of financial performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Working with operational teams to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, drive improvements and profitability
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies and procedures.
  • Providing support to the Assistant Management Accountant where necessary


To be considered you must:

  • Have a recognised Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), QBE will be considered
  • Have experience in management accounting within an FMCG environment
  • Have strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of stock is essential
  • Be a proficient MS Excel user
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be a proficient IT user with experience using a variety of ERP systems and financial reporting software
  • Be within a commutable distance as the position will be site based
