We are partnered with a brokerage business group recruiting for a Head of Market Risk to join the team in London.

Our client offers market making services, wholesale financial brokerage, liquidity services, investment & trading solutions, VC fund, ETF trading & funding platform within London & Europe.

You will be paid a competitive salary with the entitlement to an exceptional pension scheme and performance related bonuses while receiving other exceptional range of benefits.

3 Days WFH on offer - base salary dependable on experience!

You must have experience (current or previous) as a trader with strong knowledge of derivatives. You must be a senior market risk professional with experience working for a brokerage firm.

Examples of responsibilities to expect:

  • The role reports into the COO and the position sits within the heads of function committee.
  • Set & maintain pre-post trade risk parameters
  • Monitor intra-day risk limits
  • Monitor capital usage
  • Monitor expiry cycles
  • Distribute daily summation of the group's capital position
  • Work with PB risk teams/maintaining flow of information for upcoming changes
  • Create ad-hoc risk views for oversight/monitoring of trading desk exposures
  • Approving new exchange/product requests.
  • Intra-day monitoring of transaction limit alerts and market making performance

Candidate Requirements:

  • Senior market risk experience with a market maker (brokerage or investment banking)
  • Current or previous experience as a trader & trading experience of listed derivatives.
  • Good understanding of ETFS
  • Experience in exchange-traded derivatives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence management and to lead and work collaboratively across teams
