Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for a fast-growing pharmaceutical business in their search for a Head of Finance to work out of their office based just outside Wigan.
The successful candidate will need to be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong academic background. Strong technical accounting skills are absolutely essential and any experience of working within manufacturing or retail would be a distinct advantage. Exposure to international businesses will be essential and a good knowledge of VAT will also be crucial. A background in integrating acquisitions would also be preferable. Key duties for the Head of Finance role will involve:
- Responsibility for month-end close
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cashflow management
- Oversee statutory accounts production
- Treasury management and responsibility for VAT calculations
- Review of working capital
- Stock analysis
- Lead in the development and improvement of processes, controls and systems
- Look to build a finance team
- Integration of acquisitions
- Project work
Salary for the role is anywhere between £75,000 and £90,000 + benefits.
