An established SME Property & Real Estate brand is currently looking for a Head of Finance (ACA/ACCA equivalent qualified) to join their team in St Albans. This is a newly created role to support the senior leadership team and manage a small team during a period of growth and establish effective and efficient controls.

Reporting to the CFO your responsibilties will include:

- Lead and develop a small team across all areas of financial and management reporting, ensuring effective controls are in place

- Managing compliance with Companies House and HMRC for tax ans upporting in the preparation of statutory accounts including liaison with external advisors

- Supporting with the development of budgets and forecasts

- Managing cash flow and supporting with ad-hoc requests and analysis for both financial and non-financial projects

- Review systems/processes and advising on process improvements

The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA/ACCA equivelent) with proven experience leading and developing a small team within a fast-paced SME environment. You will be a confident commuincator and comfortable dealing with a variety of stakeholders (both finance and non-finance) in order to develop and foster long-standing relationships.
