Start your job searchMarks Sattin are working in partnership with a Life Sciences business based in Oxfordshire set for rapid growth to recruit a Head of ESG as a newly created position within the team. This is a critical role as they scale up the business and area looking for somebody to drive the ESG agenda from setting up processes, reporting and mentality through to providing a best in class ESG experience.
As an established ESG professional who has previously worked within a scale-up or growth environment, you will work closely in partnership with the senior leadership team, investors (current and future) and all aspects of the business to ensure a robust approach.
The Head of ESG role will be paying between £85,000 and £100,000 per annum with excellent benefits including bonus. There will be an expectation to be present in the business so 3 to 4 days on site in Oxfordshire as a minimum.
The Head of ESG Role
This role would suit somebody that has relevant experience of implementing ESG reporting and processes within, ideally, the biotech/pharma/life sciences industries. That being said, a high growth and changing background will work perfectly from other industries.
A hands on ESG lead with a focus towards the Social and Governance areas! Drive the vision of social responsibility, integrity and teamwork across all areas of the business!
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the ESG strategy and direction across global entities
- Deploy workshops, training and events to educate internal and external stakeholders
- Utilise Key Performance Indicators to produce bespoke reporting for internal and external purposes
- Produce sustainability reporting with geographical focus
- Develop a framework to obtain relevant ESG accreditations and certifications
- Act as the go to person for ESG legislation and practices
Key Skills and Experience
- Strong data manipulation and extraction skills
- Natural marketer and strong communication/business partnering experience
- Evidenced background in establishing ESG processes and reporting
- Ability to navigate a high growth and fast paced business
