Group Tax Manager/ Manchester - Hybrid /£65,000 DOE with Benefits

Marks Sattin are collaborating with a Top 20 Practice who have a global presence and are looking to bring in a Group Tax Manager to take the lead on corporate tax compliance across their group, supporting M&A activity and the ongoing integration of new firms.

The Role:

  • Constantly developing and implementing corporate tax compliance procedures and strategies for the group.
  • Prepare and file accurate corporation tax returns for all group entities.
  • Review and manage year-end tax processes, including tax accounting, tax packs, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Oversee group relief calculations, journal entries, and the implementation of simplified tax arrangements.
  • Lead quarterly balance sheet reviews and manage monthly tax provisions across the group.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HMRC and external tax advisors, handling compliance and advisory matters.
  • Support acquisition processes and manage tax aspects of legal entity restructuring.
  • Preparing transfer pricing documentation, including local and master files.
  • Maintain key tax trackers, ensuring accurate submission dates, references, and gateway access.
  • Mentor and guide a Group Tax Assistant, contributing to their professional development.
  • Stay updated on tax legislation and contribute to broader tax projects and strategic initiatives.

Skills:

  • ACCA / ACA /CTA Qualified
  • Strong UK Corporate Tax experience
  • International tax and transfer pricing experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax law and tax accounting in large/complex groups
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience supporting junior team members
