A well known and rapidly growing medium sized European banking group are currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting Accountant with experience of FINREP to take on a newly created permanent role. The Bank are at the back end of their FINREP implementation programme and are looking for someone to come in and manage all reporting on a BAU basis and adapt and improve as necessary.

The role will take on management of the quarterly FINREP process and look to oversee this moving forward. This will involve complete ownership of the process, improving and enhancing where necessary and taking the lead on responding to changes in FINREP reporting. A large proportion of the role will also involve working with colleagues across finance, risk, liquidity/ALM, middle and front office to support group reporting and analysis. Given the highly specialised nature of the role, it's likely you'll also be involved in a myriad of ad hoc projects.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant - CA, ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA or equivalent - with proven FINREP technical experience from the Banking sector. It's likely you'll have a strong financial reporting bias to your CV with up to date understanding of IFRS and reporting standards. In person you'll need to be a confident individual willing to accept a high degree of autonomy, with proven abilities to build up productive working relationships with stakeholders across front, middle and back office.

This is a CV enhancing role that would suit someone keen to work for a smaller Banking group and finance team that has very low staff turnover and a sociable and outgoing working culture. Salary up to £80,000 base plus benefits and discretionary bonus.
