Role: Financial Planning Analyst
Salary: £40-53k per annum

The company is an award-winning progressive group of businesses, and you will play a pivotal part in their growth journey. This exciting opportunity to join a newly formed commercially orientated finance function will report directly to the Head of UK Reporting.
The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data. You will need to communicate with various stakeholders both internal and external, demonstrating the ability to deliver concise and meaningful analysis on various KPI's/Financials.
The ideal candidate would be finalist or qualified ACCA/CIMA with a background of commercial management accounting however strong Data Analysts with a finance background would also be considered.
The Role
- Weekly P&L and KPI Reporting by division/process
- Working closely with operations to develop and maintain a suite of daily & weekly KPI's specific to various waste processing lines and vehicle types
- Working closely with finance to ensure waste revenues and costs are reconciled and accounted
- Working with Finance team members to support accounting and reporting processes (including month-end and year end processes), as required
- Variance analysis, on an on-going basis, including the tracking of actual and forecast performance against key benchmarks, such as Budget, 5 Year Plan, and last year
- Preparation of financial analysis versus competitor and industry benchmarks
- Manage the cost-efficient waste flow within the business
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, providing meaningful variance analysis, trend analysis and scenario analysis, as required
- Develop a reporting suite using Power BI to assist key stakeholders in management of waste flows
- Assist with a broad range of ad hoc projects including finance projects and other commercial projects, as required
The Requirements
- Experience of Commercial Finance/FP&A Activity
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees across multiple business areas and have excellent influencing skills
- Good communication skills who is comfortable talking to different types of people daily
- Strong analytical skills including using Excel and other systems to examine large datasets
- Enjoy working in a challenging and fast paced environment
