Marks Sattin are working on an exclusive basis with a growing healthcare business based in Bristol, to recruit a Financial Controller for a newly created role.
The Financial Controller role will suit candidates with a demonstrable track record of financial leadership within regulated industries, with a deep understanding of regulations, standards and law. This is a newly formed role and will play a key role in developing and managing financial operations for an exciting unit of the business.
The Financial Controller role is based in Bristol with some travel to other sites, the role offers hybrid working and a salary between £65,000 and £70,000.
Role Specifics
Key responsibilities include
- Develop and implement processes and controls that meet FCA Regulations
- Take ownership of the financial operations for the business unit, staying up to date with changes to regulations and laws
- Carry out risk assessments and make recommendations on mitigation strategies
- Lead and develop finance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Oversee transactional finance areas, offering support where needed
- Support month end close, and production of management accounts for two business units
- Support the leadership team with Budgeting a Forecasting activities, providing insights
About your experience
- Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Demonstrable trackrecord in FCA regulated industries
- Deep understanding of FCA regulations, standards and law
- Previous experience of developing and implementing financial processes and controls
- Management of finance teams
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
