Marks Sattin are working with a leading FS Business in the Midlands to recruit a Credit Risk Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the on-going development of the lending and collections strategy and policies across all product streams. You will have a great opportunity to innovate and collaborate with the wider business to help deliver a state-of-the-art risk management processes. You will have line management responsibility and use your previous experience to develop and coach individuals.

  • Drive qualitative and quantitative analysis of the credit portfolio with a view to improve the book performance and ensure the Bank operates within Risk Appetite
  • Supporting the upscaling of the Credit Risk unit
  • Leading the Credit Risk work streams in the delivery of cross functional business projects, including new product initiatives and the launch of policy / criteria changes
  • Providing Risk expertise and analytical support
  • Ensure market benchmarking is in place to provide timely views and analysis on areas of potential enhancement or change
  • Monitor the effective review of accounts in arrears with core trends reflected in the design of lending and debt management policies

Requirements

  • Strong track record working as Senior Credit Analyst or Manager
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to disseminate complex information at the correct level
  • Previous experience in analytical field, particularly within credit, risk or an audit function and the ability to analyse data from various sources, drawing out key themes and summarising into tangible findings
  • Excellent understanding of Credit cycle and its related policies and regulation
  • Knowledge and understanding of Underwriting in a secured/unsecured lending environment
