Marks Sattin executive search is working with a PE-Backed Environmental services business, Located in West Midlands, in search of an analytical and innovative CFO to head up their finance function and lead their finance team in partnership with the CEO. This is a successful business, heading toward its next stage of development and expansion.

As the number one in finance, the CFO will have full responsibility for managing the finance function, working in partnership with the CEO developing, delivering, and evaluating the overall strategy for the business. Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and PE investors, you will be a valued contributor to executive-level strategy through preparation of detailed and incisive performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Furthermore, as the CFO you will take a leading role in developing and implementing systems, processes and controls.

The ideal candidate

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA)
  • Track record of being a CFO in a business within the environmental services, Waste management, Recycling and/or related sectors with a strong M&A background (Ideally within a regulated environment). Experience within a PE-Backed business is desirable but not essential.
  • Prior experience leading a PE-backed portfolio company or a desire to move into Private Equity would both be considered.
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment, has strong leadership and strategic skills to ensure a hands-on successful approach.
  • Strategic focus on delivering shareholder value
