Start your job searchThe primary aim of this position is to support the management and further development of the Group’s capital allocation, planning, forecasting and reporting processes, ensuring that these are integrated with and developed alongside the Group’s broader capital and financial management and reporting processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Responsibility for understanding all the Group’s capital measures whether on a regulatory, rating agency or economic basis, and applying this knowledge to effectively support Group capital management processes.
-Support the Group’s annual Capital Planning and Quarterly forecasting processes, including review of regional/ business capital plans, process and report production management, capital data production and analysis, etc.
-Support the development and review of improved metrics over capital allocation, generation, utilisation and performance.
-Support the production, review and analysis of capital related external disclosures.
Producing/ supporting ad-hoc papers/ recommendations for a range of customers.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Support delivery of annual capital plan and quarterly/ ad hoc capital reforecasts.
-Support development of capital allocation processes and related MI.
-Support delivery of ad-hoc projects/ papers impacting capital management
QUALIFICATIONS
Accountancy or actuarial qualification.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
-Good knowledge of insurance accounting and reporting (IFRS and MCEV)
-Knowledge of regulatory solvency and economic capital desirable
-Strong analytical skills.
-Strong process management skills
-Systems and report building skills
-Ability to provide clear rationale to support recommendations
-Effective Communication Skills (written and verbal)
-Ability to learn quickly and take initiative
EXPERIENCE
-Insurance industry experience
-Financial/ Capital planning and analysis
-Proven ability to communicate clearly ideas whether in writing or orally.
-Effective team working
