The details
Our client in the wholesale fashion industry is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their fast growing finance team in London. Reporting into the Financial Controller, this is a broad financial accounting position which will see you getting involved in a number of key areas across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing, updating and reviewing all intercompany transitory accounts
- Assist with month end closing as well as balance sheet and P&L reviews
- Maintaining and positing of the general leger in particular areas, namely customer bonuses, expenses, and fixed assets
- Creation of intercompany service fee invoicing
- External tax reporting including VAT, OSS, ICP for UK and European entities
- Be involved in consistent process improvement initiatives and contributing to improved delivery
- Assist with system implementations
- Additional ad-hoc duties and requirements for other financial matters
The ideal candidate will be a part qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant industry experience and an ability to work in a fast paced environment. The company are currently going through multiple systems implementations across the finance function so any experience in this area will be useful.
