The details
A fashion retailer/ wholesaler is hiring for an Assistant Accountant on a temp to perm basis.
The suitable candidate will be immediately available and towards the end of their ACCA/ CIMA qualification.
The role is hybrid and based in Central London.
It's a great oppotunity to expand your skills and experience in a newly created Euopean finance team.
Key responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant across UK & European entities:
- Responsible for maintaining and posting to GL including bank and purchase processing
- Assist with month end and BS & P&L reviews
- Prepare, update and reconcile all intercompany accounts
- Create intercompany service fee invoicing
- Payroll administration and contact for external Payroll agencies
- External tax reporting including VAT, OSS, ICP for UK and EU entities
- Ad hoc finance duties and covering other members of the team
The ideal Assistant Accountant will:
- Immediately available (essential)
- Be towards the end of their studies for a relevant accounting qualification - ACCA/ CIMA/ equivalent (essential)
- Have previous experience in the retail/ wholesale/ FMCG/ consumer industry
- Ability to drive change and increase eeffciency in a fast-paced environment
- Have strong attention to detail and excel skills
