The Role: Accountant (Part-time)

The Client: Private Equity Firm

Location: West Sussex (Hybrid working)

Financial Reporting & Accounting:

  • Assist in overseeing and maintaining all accounting and financial aspects of the company, including working with our partners & third party accountants/administrators, in the preparation of quarterly financials, audited year-end financials, & statutory accounts
  • Preparation of underlying data for quarterly/annual reports, including KPIs/portfolio performance, asset/counter-party analysis, forecasts/budgets

Operations:

  • Assist in overseeing and maintaining company liquidity, including cash management (approvals, documentation, transfers), required to fund payments, provide on-going liquidity and reconcile cash received from property managers on a monthly basis
  • Assist the outsourced accountants in the on-going oversight and management of the corporate and tax structure of the company including tax compliance
  • Working with other internal teams on various projects and ad-hoc queries
  • Review and reconciliation of reporting from property manager including analysis of arrears
  • Assist COO with review and reconciliation of property budgets to ensure effective cost control

Ad Hoc:

  • Supporting Senior Management Team with ad-hoc projects
  • Assist with implementation of any systems required (expenses/invoicing/accounting software) etc.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong background in a similar position
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent excel / modelling skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy at all times
  • Strong aptitude, prioritise workload, work under pressure, enthusiastic approach
  • Team player and good people skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with administrators, other professional advisors and partners
