How you will be shaping Rudding Park as their Finance Manager  

To be successfully considered for this exceptional role at Rudding Park in Harrogate, you will ideally be AAT/ACCA qualified or have equivalent experience. You will also need strong excel skills, be an analytical thinker, and have an eye for detail. As you will be required to deputise for the Head of Finance, you will need to handle challenging conversations and have excellent all-round communication skills.

Due to Rudding Park’s exceptional reputation, we are always abuzz with activity, so this role would suit someone who is used to working in a busy environment. It would also be a bonus if you have experience working within the tourism and leisure sector, but this is not a deal breaker!

Your key responsibilities as Finance Manager at Rudding Park

  • Assisting with the production of the month end accounts and month end reconciliations
  • Management of revenue audit
  • Ensure that all internal control procedures are adhered to and report any perceived weaknesses to the Head of Finance
  • Ensure that all financial regulations are met through the maintenance of adequate systems of internal control
  • Supporting in dealing with supplier queries, reconciliations and invoices promptly, and prepare payments for review and execution by the Head of Finance
  • Assist the Head of Finance to provide full and accurate forecasting and budgeting
  • Payment processing and processing of journals
  • Maintain balance sheet accounts for review by the Head of Finance
  • Assist with maintaining fixed asset and depreciation schedules
  • Assist with production of year-end accounts and schedules
