Marks Sattin are delighted to be collaborating with a global telecommunications company who are currently expanding their Tax team & are looking to recruit a VAT Compliance Senior Manager based in the North West. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a fantastic business during a period of sustained growth.
The Role
This position involves leading and enhancing the in-house VAT compliance function, while taking charge of day-to-day operations in various UK and foreign jurisdictions. Collaborating with the Tax team and Systems Indirect Tax Manager, you will drive system enhancements and promote the use of technology to optimize our in-house operations. Additionally, I will oversee the integration of new VAT compliance activities.
Day to Day includes:
- Day to day manage the team
- Responsible for preparation, review and timely filing of returns
- Looking over VAT reporting processes
- First point of compliance contact
- Point of escalation for tax coding queries
- Onboarding new operating entities into VAT compliance process
- Developing capabilities in the team to increase the number of entities supported by team
- Collaborating closely with different teams
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified
- UK VAT expertise and prior experience of working with EU VAT principles
- Strong VAT accounting experience
- Experience of leading teams
