Start your job searchOne of the world's leading traders of agricultural commodities are currently looking to a Qualified Accountant to join the expanding in-house Corporate Development Team. The role offers a rare opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of M&A activity across all of the commodity business lines globally.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of a small team that manages the deal execution process from due diligence all the way through to close
- Evaluate M&A investment opportunities and conduct company and industry competitive analysis
- Co-ordinate the due diligence process
- Valuation analysis including cost of capital calculation, discounted cash flow analysis, comparable companies analysis, EPS accretion/dilution analysis and LBO modelling
- Prepare, analyse and explain investment memoranda for presentation to the Board of Directors and outside investors
- Co-ordinate/Manage internal approval process for investment proposals to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Relevant Corporate Finance/M&A experience gained within one of the leading accounting firms, in-house corporate finance teams or an investment bank is beneficial, not essential
- Strong numerical skills, especially financial analysis and modelling skills
- High level of analytic capability and the ability to think strategically
- Strong team player and self-starter with ability to assume responsibility quickly
