An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Commercial Finance Manager to join a highly prestigious fashion retail business in central London. This newly created role will be a core element of the company's strategic growth plans.

As an astute Commercial Finance Manager, your work will be pivotal in contributing to the strategic framework of decision making. This is an operational role in which the successful candidate will require both commercial drive and a passion for the retail industry.

You will need the ability to build strong relationships with non-finance personnel as you will be working alongside Buying, Merchandising, Design and Sourcing colleagues.

Core duties of the role include:

• Develop a thorough understanding of the competitive pressures that the business faces & their potential implications
• Support the development of a compelling vision, for each trading area, consistent with achieving the overall company vision
• Work with the Trading senior management to develop appropriate strategies, for their respective areas, that support the delivery of the overall vision
• Work with business partners to develop long-range plans, annual plans & reforecasts that support the achievement of the overall strategies
• Support business partners by both understanding and influencing the underlying drivers of performance to help drive both the bottom and top-line
• Continually challenge current thinking/assumptions &, using benchmarking & best practice as well as original solutions
• Provide pro-active, insightful, high quality decision-making support, ensuring business-wide implications are considered

The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, be commercially minded and passionate about using financials to drive the business. The role is commercial and broad, ideal for someone who thrives on working in a fast paced and ever evolving environment.
