The details

Marks Sattin are currently working with a Garforth, Leeds based business within the Automotive industry who are looking for a Apprentice Accounts Assistant.

This role will be well suited to a candidate who is keen on a career within Finance and would like to study their AAT qualifications. No experience is required in this role, but an enthusiastic and motivated individual is needed for this role.

The salary on offer for this position is between £18,000 - £21,000 and will also support candidates with AAT qualifications.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Produce all sales invoices and sales orders in a timely manner
  • Work closely with colleagues in the wider business to gather the information required for invoicing and payment terms agreed
  • Ensuring that customer balances are paid on time by generating weekly statements and chasing outstanding debt in an appropriate manner
  • Maintaining and reviewing of aged debtors reporting by producing an analysis of outstanding money and categorising them by outstanding periods
  • Completion of daily bank reconciliations
  • Be the first point of contact for the Finance team in respect of answering customer telephone and email queries
  • Control over company credit card reconciliations, ensuring these are completed and signed off on a monthly basis
  • Filing and administrative duties
  • Ad-hoc administrative and transactional duties to assist the Financial Controller
